Not sure what it is...garnets possibly

It was the size of a softballl when I found it in Lucerne valley California I decided to break it apart probably not the smartest move because it’s beautiful, now I have a couple golf ball size pieces and lots and lots of smaller pieces...if anyone knows what it could be please let me no...thank u

Garnets?

It has a color that could be garnets but the crystals aren't the right shape. You should do a scratch test. That will help narrow down the choices. See Hardness about halfway down this page:
